We started Pantry Protein because we ran into a problem at home and didn’t have a solution that fit our lifestyle.
As groceries got more expensive, we found ourselves trying to keep meals filling and nutritious without changing how we cook or eat. The usual fixes worked but gave us new bugaboo’s like more prep, changes in taste, unpleasant changes in texture, or solutions that lacked nutrition (like adding more bread or rice).
The solution came from professional foodservice kitchens.
A Background in Foodservice
My dad was a chef for over 30 years, working everywhere from hotels in London, England to restaurants in New York City.
In recent years, he’s been involved in research and development work in the foodservice industry where meals need to be consistent, scalable, healthful, and reliable day after day.
That’s where he came across a protein ingredient used in foodservice settings to help meals stay filling without changing how they cook or taste.
It's not a supplement, filler, or powder.
It’s an all-natural, 3 ingredient protein that you can use in your existing recipes.

In professional foodservice, restaurants and hospitals order this in large volumes and their suppliers aren’t set up to sell small quantities directly to households or deal with the headaches of retail marketing, customer service, and distribution.
Even with a commercial account, you'd need to buy at least 30lbs at a minimum (and pay for the shipping yourself).
So even though this solution already existed, it stayed behind the scenes, completely unavailable to everyday families like ours.
Once we saw how it worked, it became clear this was exactly what had been missing in our own kitchen.
We contacted the manufacturer directly, and after explaining our situation they agreed to supply us.
After trying it, sharing it with friends and family to see what they thought, we decided to bring it to Amazon.
That’s what led to Pantry Protein.
We didn’t start it to change how people eat.
We started it to make filling, practical meals easier when budgets are tighter.
